Steven Anthony Breland

Monday, September 19, 1977
Deputy Breland was shot and killed while he and other deputies attempted to serve a warrant. The suspect was found guilty of manslaughter and died while in prison.
Steven Anthony Breland's name has been engraved at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC. His name can be located on panel 47, E -8.
A plaque bearing Steven Anthony Breland's name is displayed at the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame in Columbia.
