Robert Joseph McIntyre

Officer McIntyre drowned in Carmichael Lake in Marion County while on duty.

Officer McIntyre was a U.S. WWII veteran and had served with the Department of Natural Resources for 3 years.

Robert Joseph McIntyre's name has been engraved at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC. His name can be located on panel 14, W -10.

A plaque bearing Robert Joseph McIntyre's name is displayed at the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame in Columbia.
